A cuvée representative of the northern terroirs of the appellation!
91-93/100 - PARKER
"Vignon's 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape looks to be the best example he's put together to date of this cuvée. Full-bodied and supple, it comes at you with layers of fruit, ranging from stone fruit and raspberries through to blueberries and cola."
92-94/100 - JEB DUNNUCK
"I loved the 2017 Châteauneuf-du- Pape Xavier, a ripe, sexy, full-bodied barrel sample that holds on to a wonderful sense of purity and elegance. Offering lots of blackberries, cassis, ground pepper, and graphite notes as well as a terrific floral character, it’s already a joy to drink but will evolve nicely on its balance."
The 4 terroirs, the 13 grape varieties and the Mistral wind are the three great assets of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The pebbles, the trademark of the appellation, give back to the grapes the heat stored during the day. They contribute to a perfect ripening of the berries.
For our Châteauneuf-du-pape, we have selected grapes from more than 78 different plots, located on the coolest terroirs of the appellation.
Vinification
Each grape variety is vinified separately.
Fermentation is slow for a better extraction of phenolic compounds.
