A blend of 4 vintages: 2015 - 2016 - 2017 and 2018!
This cuvée is part of the wider project of Xavier Vignon's of preserving the purity of the wine through new vinification and maturation methods.
The wine is organically grown and has been matured in such a way as to preserve the fruit as much as possible using the Wine Globe and Vinarium® techniques.

"Black cherries and plums appear alongside hints of cedar and leather on the nose of the NV Cairanne Arcane La Temperance. It's full-bodied (labeled at 15% alcohol), yet not overly heavy, with silky tannins, peppery notes and even some brighter, raspber- ry-like nuances on the lingering finish. Given its structure and con- centration, it should drink well for at least 4-5 years."
The selection of plots and berries was made from two main terroirs of the appellation: to the north of the commune, on the Miocene hills (Montagne de Ventabren), the soils alternate between limestone pebbles and marl.
While in the south, the terraces of the garrigues are made up of stony alluvium and brown pebbles.
This is the warmest terroir of the appellation.
Vinification
Long maceration without mechanical extraction.
Ageing
The backbone of this cuvée is the preservation of the fruit throughout the life of the wine. The idea is not to influence the wine by ageing in traditional methods. The 2015, 2016 and 2017 vintages were therefore aged in stainless steel tanks.
2015: a structured vintage with firm tannins, aged for 60 months.
2016: a saline and balanced vintage, aged for 48 months.
2017: a highly concentrated vintage, aged for 36 months.
2018: a more fragile vintage, aged for 24 months in the Wine Globe.
